On Apr. 15, Fox Creek RCMP responded to a report of a male attempting to sell drugs in the Town of Fox Creek.
A vehicle traffic stop led to the arrest of the suspect and drugs, money and bear spray were located and seized. A search warrant was then executed at a residence in Fox Creek and additional drugs were located.
As a result of both the traffic stop and the search warrant a total of $53,234 in cash and 120 grams of cocaine were seized.
Salahadin Omar Idris, 59, of Fox Creek has been charged with six possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited device without a license, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Fox Creek Provincial Court on June 22.
