A church is being incorrectly named as the location for a Florida shooting, causing alarm in the community.

Two were killed and two others were injured by gunfire during a funeral today. News organizations across the United States have been incorrectly reporting that the shooting happened at Victory City Church, causing unnecessary panic in the community.

"It had nothing to do with Victory City Church," Tywuante D. Lupoe, Senior Pastor of Victory City Church says in a Facebook live video.

The senior pastor says none of the church's congregation members were involved in the shooting and that the shooting occurred across the street from the church building.

Victory City Church has received an outpour of sympathy and prayers from the community since Saturday afternoon's events due to the inaccurate reports, but the church says they appreciate the prayers.

The cause for the shooting, according to Lupoe, is a family dispute that had nothing to do with the church.
