On November 15, 2022, at approximately 2:20 AM, Greenview Fire-Rescue Services STN #32 - Grovedale responded to a house fire in the area of Range Road 65 and Township Road 693 with a report of an occupant inside. Fire crews made entry, removing the individual from the house as well as extinguishing the fire with the assistance from County of Grande Prairie firefighters.

Efforts to revive the 98-year-old victim failed despite valiant efforts by the attending fire crews and EMS personnel.

The origin and cause of the fire are currently under investigation.
