The emergency alert is being cancelled and the public from Trout Lake can now return home. Everyone from the Peerless Trout First Nation should continue to follow the local community Facebook page. 

The evacuation order was issued Monday, June 17th. 

Much needed rain has fallen in the Slave Lake Forest Area and the current wildfire danger for the area is low to moderate.

The largest fire of the McMillan Complex is still burning out of control, but fire activity has been minimal recently and the fire has been reduced by a few thousand hectares. It is currently 273,045 hectares.

Over the last several weeks, hundreds of Indigenous firefighters have assisted in the McMillan Complex.
