The City of Grande Prairie Enforcement Services concluded the positive ticket program with a Grand Prize draw in October 2020.

The positive ticket program was relaunched this summer to encourage children and youth to practice safe, community building habits.

Children and youth were issued positive tickets when enforcement officers observed safe summer activities such as wearing a helmet while biking or skateboarding, and good deeds such as children helping each other and adding to the spirit of community.

Once a positive ticket was issued, the recipient could redeem it at City on 99th for a small prize bag and be entered to win the grand prize. A total of 29 positive tickets were issued.

The draw for the grand prize, a Nintendo Switch Lite and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, occurred earlier this month.

City of Grande Prairie Enforcement Services would like to congratulate Alexander Timanson and thank him for setting an excellent example for others on how to properly wear a helmet and promoting positivity and safety within our community.
