Grande Prairie RCMP charged three people and seized drugs following a drug trafficking investigation.
On April 19, Grande Prairie RCMP Municipal officers received information of drug trafficking and executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of 102 Street and 107 Avenue.
During the search, several items were seized, including what is believed to be:
- 569 mL GHB
- 42 tablets alprazolam
- 118 grams methamphetamine (crystal meth)
- 21 grams cocaine
- 15 grams Fentanyl
- 2.6 grams heroin
- 14 tablets of oxycodone
- 103 tablets of prescription medication
- 21 tablets of unidentified substances
- 2 airsoft handguns
Police also located $6,543 in Canadian currency and items consistent with drug trafficking.
Renae Arnold, 36, and Jason Holtz, 41, both of Grande Prairie, have been charged with:
- Six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Two counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of property obtained by crime
Carol Gaudet, 40, of Grande Prairie, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Following a judicial hearing, Arnold, Holtz and Gaudet were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on May 19.
