COVID-19 cases in Grande Prairie exceed 300; fully vaccinated stats at 41.6 percent

Alberta Health Services' latest COVID-19 data shows 5,354 active cases as of August 15, 2021.

There are a total of 161 Albertans in the hospital due to COVID-19, 43 of those in the ICU.

Local active COVID-19 cases in Grande Prairie are currently at 317, while the County of Grande Prairie has 86.

Vaccination statistics as of August 15, 2021:

5,443,763 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Alberta
76.8 percent of 12+ population has received at least one dose (65.4% total population)
67.9 percent of 12+ population fully vaccinated (57.7% total population)

Vaccination statistics for eligible citizens fully vaccinated in the area stand at 41.6% for the City of Grande Prairie and 40.7% in the County of Grande Prairie.
