Snow removal crews will work to clear snow from various roads in the County starting Monday.

Crews will clear main paved roads as a priority; followed by arterial and local gravel roads.

The crews dedicated to snow removal in County hamlets will begin clearing roads in Clairmont, north and south of 108 Avenue, starting Monday. A parking restriction will be put into effect for the area starting Sunday morning.

After that, crews will be in the area of Whispering Ridge and Westlake Village. Once roads in Clairmont are complete, crews will move to the subdivisions of Wedgewood, Taylor Estates and Maple Ridge.

County residents are reminded that new signage has been installed at the entrances to specific areas, which are revealed 24-hours prior to crews starting snow removal work in the area. When the No Parking sign is visible, parking on roadways is not permitted. When residential streets are free from vehicles parked along the roadway, snow removal is more timely and efficient.

Residents are also reminded to not pile or push snow from their driveways or property onto the roads as it slows the snow clearing process and creates a traffic safety hazard.

Please note that the snow removal schedule is tentative and there may be changes to the schedule in unforeseen circumstances. For more information about the snow removal procedure in the County, visit www.countygp.ab.ca/roadmaintenance.
