Starting today, construction begins on 100 Street from south of the 128 Avenue intersection to the northern city limits in both north and southbound lanes.

Construction includes the repair and replacement of underground infrastructure, including a storm lead and catch basins. This work is followed by geometric upgrades at the 100 Street and 132 Avenue intersection, including the installation of three dedicated right turn lanes and the replacement of traffic signals. Other roadway upgrades consist of milling and paving, line painting, grading and landscaping.

Construction is anticipated to last until mid-September and drivers can expect delays while travelling through the area as traffic will be down to one-lane, alternating traffic.

Traffic may also be switched over into opposite lanes, if needed. The speed limit will be reduced to 30km/h while construction is taking place. For more information on planned projects, visit the City’s website.
