The Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta is pleased to provide over $40,000 in student award funding through approximately thirty awards! Deadline to apply is August 15, 2022. Student Awards application portal is open to local post-secondary students.

Your Community Foundation has many great funding opportunities for post-secondary students looking for assistance in reaching their educational goals. Student Awards are open to all post-secondary students from Northwestern Alberta regardless of program, or year of study.

New this year, a streamlined application process has been introduced where students can fill in their information and a list of eligible awards will be generated. This process will save time and ensure that students are accessing all available funding when they apply.

The Community Foundation is proud of the variety of awards available. CEO Laura LaValley says “Over $40,000 of student award money is available to students of all ages, including mature students. We support several different areas of study, community involvement, athletics, apprenticeships, arts and culture, and volunteerism. There is something for every type of student!”

LaValley adds, “We want to ensure that all the funding available gets out into the hands of Northwestern Alberta’s students. Now more than ever, supporting students remains an important goal of our donors. It may even help to support the labor market gaps in our region and community resiliency. We have made it simple to connect students to these funds, so we strongly encourage more post-secondary students to apply now!”

Student Award applications are now available and can be found online at: www.buildingtomorrowtoday.com

Applicants are encouraged to call the Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta office if they have any questions about applying.
