Charges have been laid after an Amber Alert was issued on Saturday June 1st for three children, aged nine months, three and four. These children were abducted from their home and taken away in a vehicle. The children were found with their mother unharmed, but were taken to the hospital as a precaution. 

The mother, Charmaine Annette Darnel, aged fourty-two, of Whitecourt has been charged with three counts of abduction of a person under fourteen, break and enter, assault and uttering threats. 

Darnel was remanded into custody for a court appearance in Grande Prairie Provincial Court today.

A second person, D’artangan Dirk Pool, aged twenty-three, of Lethbridge has been charged with three counts of abduction of a person under fourteen, break and enter, assault, uttering threats, forcible confinement, and disguise with intent to commit offence. 

Pool was released by a Justice to appear in Fox Creek Provincial Court on June 24, 2019.
