Manitoban Jordan Peters is ready to sleep like a rock after winning the World Junior Curling Championships in Russia on Saturday.

For the next two weeks, Peters will be resting up after playing some intense games at the World Junior Curling Championship.

His team won 7-4 against Germany on Saturday, but because of the lack of Canadians present at the championship game, the team is holding off celebrations until a later date.

"If God wants you to win, you will win."

Peters, the team's Third, put his education on hold for the championship but does not regret his decision.

"The world (championships) will not happen every year," Peters says. "I will have always school."

Peters was a student at Providence University College and plans on returning in the near future.

The athlete's outlook on curling is strongly rooted in God.

"If God wants you to win, you will win," Peters says.

The curler believes that his talent was "God-given" and says he praises God every day for it.

He adds that he is "very thankful" for what God has given him.
