Bridge maintenance projects start in the county next week

Three bridge maintenance projects are set to start across the County next week resulting in temporary detours on affected roadways. 

Closures include:  

• Township Road 720 between Highway 723 and Range Road 95 will close Monday, May 31. Motorists can detour on Range Road 95, Township Road 722 and Highway 723 to access Township Road 720 east and west of the bridge. 

• Township Road 720 between Range Road 103 and Range Road 104 will close Tuesday, June 1. Traffic can detour on Range Road 103, Township Road 722 and Range Road 104 to access Township Road 720 east and west of the bridge. 

• Township Road 750 between Range Road 94 and Range Road 95 will close Saturday, June 5. Traffic can detour on Range Road 94, Township Road 744 and Range Road 95 to access Township Road 750 east and west of the bridge. 

Each project is expected to take one week to complete, weather dependent.  

Road closures will be in place for the duration of the projects. Traffic may experience delays due to the detours. Motorists are advised to obey all signs, flag persons, exercise extreme caution when travelling around the closure and allow extra time for travel. 

The County is investing a total of $50.1 million in new capital road and bridge projects this year. Planned construction includes 57 km of road surfacing including the paving of gravel roads, surfaced road overlays, and re-construction.
