On Wednesday February 19th, 2020, Grande Prairie Rural RCMP, in partnership with the Grande Prairie Crime Reduction Unit, executed a Search Warrant on a rural property in Teepee Creek, Alberta. A male and female were arrested at the scene without incident.


Approximately $200,000.00 worth of property was recovered including:

· 6 Vehicles

· 1 Holiday Trailer

· 3 Guns and a machete

· Numerous high end rims and tires

· Generators, an air compressor, and other miscellaneous hand tools.

The majority of stolen property has been returned to the owners.


Darren FARNSWORTH (43) of Grande Prairie was arrested on a number of outstanding warrants and has been charged with:

· Possession of Stolen Property over $5000

· Fail to Comply with a Probation Order

· Breach of a Recognizance.


Lacey JOHNSTON (33) of Grande Prairie has been charged with:

· Possession of Stolen Property over $5000

· Breach of an Undertaking.


A 46 year old male and 26 year old female are also facing several firearms charges in relation to the investigation.


Grande Prairie Rural RCMP are continuing their investigation.

The RCMP wishes to remind the public to record the serial numbers or make distinct markings on their possessions so their property can be identified and returned to them.
