The Alberta RCMP has issued an Amber Alert in support of one issued in Saskatchewan after a young girl was abducted in North Battleford around 5:00 Sunday evening.

According to media reports, the child was inside a vehicle while it was running outside a mall in North Battleford, which was stolen. The vehicle uses a push-button/fob system and the fob was not in the vehicle at the time. When the vehicle is turned off it will not be able to be started again. Police say that the suspect is unknown at this time.

Police say they do not know which direction the vehicle was headed, and therefore expanded the alert to Manitoba and Alberta.

The Saskatchewan RCMP had released a video from the girl's parents, asking for people to continue to help to search, and pleading for her safe return. Her parents said they know the girl wasn't taken on purpose, and they just wanted their child back.
