In her COVID-19 update today, Dr. Hinshaw reported an occasion to celebrate.

Today was the most tests Alberta has processed in 24 hours and the least new daily cases since March 12. Out of 6455 tests, there were just seven new cases.

There are 6624 people recovered and 328 active cases. Currently 44 people are hospitalized with six in the ICU. There have been no new deaths.

The last active case in the County of Grande Prairie has recovered, for a total of six recovered. In the last two days, the City of Grande Prairie’s cases numbers have gone down by two. We have 11 active cases and seven recovered.

Dr. Hinshaw says that our number of cases continue to trend downwards, largely due to the sacrifices Albertans have made.

hose at risk are living in the community, not just continuing care centres. Keeping seniors locked down in continuing care long term also has negative effects on their health. Dr. Hinshaw says that when each takes pride in their individual actions to keep each other safe, it helps the community. We are still all in this together.
