Elevation Worship has received the most nominations for the 2021 GMA Dove Awards with nine.

On August 11, 2021, the 52nd Gospel Music Association (GMA) made their 2021 Dove Awards nominations announcement via Facebook Live and YouTube.

Some of Elevation Worship's nominations are two for Song of the Year including 'The Blessing' and 'Graves into Gardens', Artist of the Year, as well as Spanish Language Recorded Song of the Year.

The second most nominations go to For King & Country with six. They were nominated for Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year as well as Artist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year and Christmas Album of the Year for A Drummer Boy Christmas

Zach Williams had five nominations, many for his collaboration song with Dolly Parton, 'There Was Jesus.'

Cece Winans also had five nominations, including two for her song 'Believe For It,' as well as Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, and Gospel Artist of the Year.

Matthew West, Kirk Franklin, and Lauren Daigle all had four Dove nominations. While these Christian artists have just stepped onto the scene, Dante Bowe, Hope Darst, and We the Kingdom each received three.

A surprise and for the first time ever, Carrie Underwood was nominated for two Dove awards, as over Easter in 2021 she released her first Christian album, My Savior

While last year the Dove Awards were aired online, this year they will be back in person in Nashville, TN. The GMA Dove Awards will be hosted on October 19 at the Allen Arena.
