On January 28, 2022, in the early morning hours, Fort St John RCMP were called to a commercial break and enter in the area of 100th St and 96th Ave.  Frontline police officers arrested 4 people of which three were held to appear in court that same day.  

Suspect #1 - Douglas Goodings was arrested and held for court.  BC Crown Council has approved criminal charges of:

  • Break and Enter and Commit Theft,
  • Theft,
  • Operation while Prohibited,
  • Flight from Police,
  • Obstructing a Peace Officer and
  • Breach of Probation Order.

Goodings was remanded into custody until his next court date of February 7, 2022.

 

Suspect #2 - Alan Renouf was arrested and held for court.  Renouf is now facing criminal charges of:

  • Break and Enter to Commit Theft and
  • Theft.

Suspect #3 - Melanie Lizotte was released by police on an Undertaking with a court date of April 25, 2022 and is facing approved charges of:

  • Break and Enter to Commit Theft and
  • Theft.

 

Suspect #4 - Charges were not approved against the female passenger of the truck though she is being held on warrants out of Alberta and will be transferred to Alberta to deal with those matters.
