Tracy Allard, MLA for Grande Prairie, will promote Alberta’s energy sector at the Energy Council Federal Meeting in Washington D.C., from March 8-11.

The conference is an opportunity to highlight the reliability and safety of Alberta’s energy products, as well as the importance of the province’s energy sector to North American and global energy security.

MLA Allard will develop, renew and strengthen Alberta’s relations with U.S. federal partners as well as gather market insight. She will also discuss Alberta’s responsible approach to energy development, including regulatory expertise and investment opportunities in carbon capture, utilization and storage, and potential in hydrogen and critical and rare earth minerals.

The Energy Council is an organization of elected legislators from 14 energy-producing states in the U.S., Alberta and Saskatchewan.
