HILLSONG WORSHIP

WHO YOU SAY I AM

Starting this weekend, students in Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) can begin preparing for their upcoming diploma exams by participating in six free tutorial sessions offered on three consecutive Saturdays in January. A final session, Science 30, will take place on the last Wednesday of the month.

There is no need to register – students should simply show up ready to review and ask questions. PWPSD also provides free lunches and snacks during the sessions.

“The full-day tutorials, known throughout the division as ‘On Your Mark!’ sessions, provide structured time for students to focus on studying diploma course material,” says Peace Wapiti Academy (PWA) Principal Wanda Gerard.

“A concise overview of the curriculum is combined with opportunities for students to redefine concepts, receive clarification, complete sample questions, and be exposed to a variety of question types.

“The rigorous review helps students feel more confident in their understanding of concepts, eases their stress, and also helps them identify areas of focus that will enhance their additional studying and review leading up to the exams. As a learning community, we extend our appreciation to the PWPSD high school teachers who facilitate the sessions, and give a huge shout-out to the participating students. We also thank Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC) for volunteering the use of their venue.”
