The Bezanson Fire Department has identified a sensor as the source of the fire alarm sounding at Bezanson School earlier this morning. Staff and students are currently returning to the school after a brief evacuation to the nearby Bezanson Hall. All students and staff are safe. There were no signs of smoke when staff did a walk-through of the school building.
What is an evacuation?
• A response to a possible danger INSIDE the school.
• Staff will escort students to a safe area, away from the school.
• Examples: Strong odours, fire, chemical spill, gas leak, etc.
