About the Keynote Speaker:
Jay Ross is a towering figure in Canadian hip-hop. He has spent the past two decades establishing himself as
one of the finest underground artists in the country. In addition to sharing stages with the biggest names in
the genre, he has built up an exceptionally impressive discography, revealing himself as a vital talent with a
powerful story to tell. Now, with the release of his most compelling material to date, he is finally on the brink
of a well-deserved international breakthrough.
Born legally blind, Jay quickly learned to compensate by developing a mastery of the English language. “No
one can dis my ability,” he once rapped, shutting down any attempts to underestimate him due to his
condition. His wit proved to be invaluable as he moved through the ranks, earning the respect of his peers
and a legion of loyal listeners.
