World Cup skiing won't be coming to Lake Louise later this year.

FIS, alpine skiing's governing body says Lake Louise, along with races in Vermont and Colorado will take a pass this year because of concerns over COVID-19.

The races will instead be added to the European schedule with races added in Val d'lsere, France and St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Lake Louise held it's first world cup alpine event in 1980 and yearly since 1994.

Organizers say they're planning for a return in 2021.
