The Battleship Mountain wildfire, to the west of Hudson's Hope, continues to expand due to high winds. Warm and dry conditions resulted in Rank 4 fire behaviour at the head of the fire, according to the BC Wildfire Service.

• Structure protection personnel are continuing to triage values around Carbon Lake and the WAC Bennett Dam.

• Helicopters will continue bucketing around the Battleship Mountain and Carbon Lake areas.

• Access has been limited to bring in heavy equipment but crews are working on developing alternative access routes over the next several days.

The District of Hudson's Hope has declared a State of Local Emergency and issued an Evacuation Order and an Evacuation Alert for the Municipality of Hudson's Hope. For more information, visit the Hudson's Hope website here.
