Between May 25 and 28, Whitecourt RCMP received nine complaints of break and enters to residences and garages that had occurred between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. in numerous residential areas in town.

Whitecourt RCMP would like to make residents aware that multiple areas in the community were targeted, including both up the hill and down the hill. These break-ins have resulted in the theft of a vehicle, an ATV, multiple bicycles, and personal identification documents.

Whitecourt RCMP would like to remind the public not to leave any valuables, wallets or identity documents in their vehicle and to remain diligent in locking their vehicles, sheds, garages and residences.

The Whitecourt RCMP are asking anyone in these areas that were targeted that believes they may have doorbell/property surveillance footage or may have been driving and have dash cam footage of any suspicious persons believed to have been involved in these incidents, to contact the Whitecourt RCMP at 780-779-5900, or your local police.
