On Nov. 11, 2022, officers of the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (WAD CRU) conducted a traffic stop on a known repeat offender with outstanding warrants on Highway 40 outside of Grande Cache. As a result of a search of the vehicle incidental to arrest, officers located:

·2 stolen firearms including a loaded handgun

·47 grams of suspected cocaine

·12 grams of suspected Methamphetamine

As a result of continued investigation, and with the assistance of the Grande Cache RCMP detachment, on Nov. 10, 2022, RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Grande Cache. As a result of that search, RCMP seized:

·A firearm

·214 grams of suspected cocaine

·122 grams of suspected methamphetamine

·$13 900 in Canadian currency.

RCMP have charged Brandon Emerson Elliott Rose (31), a resident of Grande Cache, with:

·Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x2)

·Weapons offences (x8)

·Possession of stolen firearm (x2)

·Possession of property obtained by crime (x3)

Brandon Rose was taken before a justice and has been remanded in custody with his next court date set for Nov. 15, 2022, at Grande Cache Provincial Court.

Additionally, RCMP have charged Martina rose (27), a resident of Grande Cache, with:

·Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x2)

·Possession of property obtained by crime

Martina Rose was taken before a Justice and released from custody with her next court date set for Jan. 5, 2023, at Grande Cache Provincial Court.
