First responder families can have increased stress in their homes.

That stress can be felt even more these days as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and all the unknowns that come along with the virus.

Kimberly Williamson, a registered social worker, has created the First Responder Family Wellness Centre to help families deal with all of the emotions and situations families of first responders deal with, not only in the midst of a pandemic but also in day to day life.

The First Responder Family Wellness centre specializes in reducing stress and building resiliency through online support, education and coaching.

Williamson knows all too well the stresses and struggles that come along with this situation. She has been married to a first responder for almost twenty years and has three children.

She shares with us her own experience, why she created the family wellness centre and tips and advice on how families of first responders can get through this current crisis.
