The Wapiti Area Synergy Partnership (WASP) is hosting a free Open House and Information Night on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Lake Saskatoon Hall at 5:30pm, which everyone is welcome to attend.

WASP was formed to help bring together area landowners, residents and industry with interest or concerns with industrial and energy development in the Wapiti area. The Open House and Information Night is intended to get more landowners involved so that they can access monthly updates about new and ongoing oil and gas projects in the region.

The keynote speaker for the evening is Dan Allan, P. Geol, president & CEO Canadian Society of Unconventional Resources (CSUR). He will speak about the LNG Pipeline and what it means for the Montney Duvernay formation & Grande Prairie region.

It is also a great opportunity for interested landowners to get involved on a committee to establish a permanent lake level for Lake Saskatoon.

WASP meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Philip J Currie Dinosaur Museum in Wembley, Alberta. Meetings are free to attend with all meetings providing roundtable introductions and updates and an educational presentation intended to keep local stakeholders, community members and landowners up to date on the industry and activity.
