On Sunday, September 23rd, the Grande Prairie Pregnancy Care Centre had their 4th annual Walk/Run for Life. The event was a fundraiser to support the services the Pregnacy Care Centre provides.
They offer compassionate support and education for individuals and families impacted by unexpected pregnancy and related issues.
All of their programs and services are free, and available to anyone, regardless of age, sexual identity or orientation, race, religion or other arbitrary circumstance.
About 75 people turned out to Sunday's event and about $13,000 was raised. This was over half their goal and almost double of last year's walk!
