New for the 2022 season, visitors can book their reservations at all County Campgrounds online, from the comfort of home.

Reservations for Pipestone Creek Campground can be made online for the entire 2022 season, from May to October, starting Saturday, January 15.

“Whether you are looking for a getaway close to home or plan to host friends and family in the area this summer, we are excited to welcome visitors to begin reserving at Pipestone Creek Campground for the upcoming season,” says Christine Rawlins, Parks and Recreation Manager. “With several enhancements to the camping and day-use areas completed over the past few years, including additional powered sites in Loops A and D for a total of 78 through the campground, a rejuvenated and expanded trail system, and day use gazebos that can be reserved for private functions and birthday parties, even regular visitors will find something new to enjoy.”

Later this month, online reservations for the Bear Lake, Demmitt, Hommy and Kleskun Hill campgrounds will launch as a one-year pilot for the 2022 camping season. The Hythe Municipal Campground will continue to accept online reservations, also available later this month for the 2022 season.

The move to online reservations is consistent with provincial and national park campgrounds, making stays more accessible and stress-free for visitors. Booking details will be available on the County website and social media channels.

“With the County’s commitment to excellent customer service, as well as trends across the camping industry to make reserving your stay a simple and stress-free experience, we saw an opportunity to test online reservations this year at more County Campgrounds,” says Rawlins. “With simple and low-cost recreation opportunities for families that are close to home being more popular than ever, we are excited to welcome even more campers to the County this year.”
