Alberta Health is taking its vaccination campaign up a notch with more mobile clinics.

In an effort to make vaccines as easily accessible as possible, they started doing mobile clinics in July with a focus on hard-to-reach populations, worksites, rural communities, and anywhere they thought vaccination numbers might be lower.

Their next tour spans a five-day period from September 13-17 with stops in Calgary, Edmonton, Jasper, Edson, and Fort Saskatchewan.

On Tuesday, September 14, they will be at DIRTT Environmental Solutions in Calgary from 9 a.m. until 10 with another stop on Friday, September 17, at the Centre for Newcomers at 3675 63 Ave. from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

Up to 300 vaccinations will be available per day at the clinic.

According to Alberta COVID-19 statistics, 70.9 per cent of Albertans 12 and up have been fully vaccinated, and 78.9 per cent of those 12 and up have at least one dose.

Appointments can be made by calling 811 or visiting bookvaccine.alberta.ca, and you can find a list of walk-in clinics at www.albertahealthservices.ca.
