The City of Grande Prairie reports that the Salmond Fire Station has safely re-opened and resumed regular operations.


Today, Oct. 22, the City of Grande Prairie confirmed there’s been one COVID-19 case found at the Salmond Fire Station. 

They say that the station is closed until a deep cleaning is complete. The City of Grande and Grande Prairie Fire Department are working with Alberta Health Services to ensure a safe reopening of the facility. 

In the meantime, fire response services to Grande Prairie are maintained out of the Pete Eager Fire Station One and Westgate Fire Station. 

The City is wishing a speedy recovery to the impacted individual and reminding the community to adhere to provincial COVID-19 guidelines.
