Grande Prairie, Alberta – On Thursday, September 27, 2018 at approximately 5:51 PM Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report of a male who had been shot in the area of 92 Street and 100 Avenue.

Investigation revealed that the male was involved in an altercation with two suspects. Following the incident, the injured male collided into a local business while driving his truck. The suspects fled the area in separate vehicle.

Police quickly located the suspect vehicle parked in a parking stall. Police Dog Services were on scene and tracked the suspects to a residence in the area of Trumpeter Village. Two 26 year old males were arrested without incident and remain in police custody.

A 24 year old male remains in the hospital.

Police believe that this is an isolated incident and that there is no additional risk to public safety.

One male has been transported to hospital by EMS with unknown injuries.

Two suspects have been arrested and are currently in police custody.
