Effective Sunday, December 13 the City of Grande Prairie is temporarily closing its recreation and cultural facilities for a minimum of four weeks to comply with the latest provincial health regulations and keep the community safe and healthy. 

The facilities affected by this closure include: 

  • Eastlink Centre 
  • Coca-Cola Centre 
  • Dave Barr Community Centre 
  • Grande Prairie Museum 
  • Revolution Place 

Gymniks Childcare and LaValley Physiotherapy will be open at the Eastlink Centre with access through the west entrance during operating hours. The Collision Reporting Centre is also remaining open; visitors are asked to call ahead for access via the south entrance. 

Private restaurants within these facilities will have the opportunity to remain open for take-out in-line with provincial guidelines. 

Eastlink Centre and Coca Cola Centre members with active memberships will have their membership frozen and extended. Full details will be emailed to individual users via their online registration accounts. 

Users impacted by cancelled recreation programming will be contacted individually for a refund, credit or online programming option.

  • Thursday, December 24:  8:00 a.m.- noon 
  • Friday, December 25: CLOSED 
  • Monday, December 28: CLOSED 
  • Thursday, December 31: 8:00 a.m.- noon 
  • Friday, January 1: CLOSED 

Citizen Contact Centre 

  • Thursday, December 24:  8:00 a.m.- noon 
  • Friday, December 25: CLOSED 
  • Monday, December 28: CLOSED 
  • Thursday, December 31: 8:00 a.m.- noon 
  • Friday, January 1: CLOSED 

Transit 

  • Thursday, December 24:  Modified weekday service (Last trip leaves downtown at 7:15 p.m. for drop-offs only) 
  • Friday, December 25: No service 
  • Thursday, December 31: Regular weekday service (Last trip leaves downtown at 8:15 p.m. for drop-offs only) 
  • Friday, January 1: No service
