On March 17 around 8 in the morning, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of an overnight break-in to a business located in the north-end industrial area of Peace River.

It was determined that the business had been forcibly entered and that multiple electronic devices and a pick-up truck had been stolen from the location. The ensuing investigation led police to obtain and execute a search warrant at a Peace River residence, where items found to have been stolen during the course of the break-in were located.

Police arrested and charged Peace River Residents 39-year-old David John Testawich and 31-year-old Charmaine Amber Ominayak with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

They are scheduled to appear in Peace River provincial court on May 25, in relation to these allegations.
