The City of Grande Prairie is pleased to announce Design Works Engineering as the new naming rights partner for the Twin Ice Arenas.

The facility is set to be renamed the Design Works Centre in November.

“City Council is excited about the announcement of another significant naming rights partnership at the City, this time between our Twin Ice Arenas and Design Works Engineering,” says Mayor Jackie Clayton. “The facility is a hallmark in the community with drop-in programming, year-round ice for sport and recreation and booking space for events and birthdays. We look forward to seeing many great memories made at the new Design Works Centre.”

About the Twin Ice Arena

The Twin Ice Arenas is the only facility of its sort in the City boasting two year-round ice surfaces and a variety of unique spaces to host meetings and events.

With an approximate 650,000 views annually, this multi-million-dollar facility is the hub for a number of ice sports including; minor hockey, figure skating, speed skating, sledge hockey, ringette as well as spring and summer camps and a variety of drop-in programs offered throughout the year.

The Twin Ice Arena is connected internally to the Eastlink Centre and is a part of the Community Knowledge Campus that has been in operation since 2003.

  • 3 referee rooms
  • 3 meeting rooms
  • Lounge and concession
