Mark your calendars to reserve your spot starting March 13 at 8:30 a.m. for the City’s Annual Easter Eggstravaganza event, presented by Eastlink.

The City is ‘egg-cited’ to announce the Easter bunny’s return to the Grande Prairie Museum’s Heritage Village on Saturday, April 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in 30-minute time slots for children ages two to 10. The event costs $5 per child and is free for adults.

“Council looks forward to welcoming families back into the Heritage Village and Grande Prairie Museum for this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza event,” says Mayor Jackie Clayton. “This accessible community event enhances quality of life for citizens and contributes to an inclusive and caring community through its two inclusive time slots, which are designed for participants who benefit from a quieter and calmer environment.”

This year’s Easter Eggstravaganza features the following family fun activities:

·Easter egg hunt

·Colouring contest

·Cookie decorating

·Easter crafts

·Scavenger hunt

·Carrot toss

·Easter bunny photobooth

To ensure this event is inclusive and accessible for all families, activities may be adapted to reduce sensory strain. The event will also feature a quiet sensory space with tactile items for children to interact with.

Spots are limited and families are encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as registration opens on March 13 at https://cityofgp.com. Inclusive time slots are only available by contacting AccessGP at info@cityofgp.com or by calling 311.
