The Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) announced on Monday evening (Feb. 1) that there has been a another positive COVID-19 case found in an individual from Beaverlodge Regional High School (BRHS).

This is the third case identified at BRHS, with the previous two being found last week. The individual last attended the school on Tuesday, Jan. 26. School administration communicated the information to families and staff on Monday evening after learning about the positive test result and receiving direction from AHS.

The identified close contacts must isolate at home until Wednesday, Feb. 10 and remote learning opportunities will be provided for the students who have to isolate.

Necessary measures are being taken to prevent spread to staff and students. Disinfection of the school has taken place. Anyone who has not been identified as a close contact will still be able to attend school in-person today.
