The Wapiti Area Synergy Partnership (WASP) is hosting an Open House and Information Night on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum at 5:30pm. Everyone is welcome.

WASP was formed to help bring together area landowners, residents and industry with interest or concerns with industrial and energy development in the Wapiti area. The Open House and Information Night is intended to get more landowners involved so that they can access monthly updates about new and ongoing oil and gas projects in the region.

Admission is free and doors will open at 5:30pm with Open House Networking, followed by Dinner at 6:00pm and Speakers at 7:00pm, with further networking to follow. The keynote speaker for the evening is Mike Brown, with Alberta Energy Regulator, speaking on the topic of Flaring.

WASP meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Philip J Currie Dinosaur Museum in Wembley, Alberta. Meetings are free to attend with all meetings providing roundtable introductions and updates and an educational presentation intended to keep local stakeholders, community members and landowners up to date on the industry and activity. Other valuable resources such as the Alberta Energy Regulator, Farmers Advocate, National Energy Board and the Surface Rights Board provide presentations and information throughout the year.
