A popular Christian series will begin filming its latest season in the spring.
More than 50,000 people have given $2,250,000 to make season three of The Chosen happen.
"This moment represents you bringing your 'loaves and fish.' You and so many others have paid it forward, prayed for us, and spread the word about The Chosen," Director Dallas Jenkins says in an email to supporters.
Crowdfunding success means filming for the free series will begin this spring.
A third season comes as no surprise for The Chosen fans. Its Christmas special was wildly successful at the box office, selling more than one million tickets in the United States and making $13.5 million in the first two weeks.
