A temporary single lane mat bridge has been set up on Range Road 92, between Township Road 709 and Township Road 710, after a portion of the road washed out as a result of increasing outdoor temperatures and melting snow. The temporary bridge will be in place until water subsides and culverts can be repaired.

Traffic has been reduced to a single alternating lane through the area. Motorists are advised to obey all posted signs when travelling in the area.

Meanwhile, a 50 per cent axle weight road ban remains in effect on all other County of Grande Prairie gravel roads 24 hours per day, until further notice.

Staff continues to monitor the impacts of spring runoff and provide updates as information becomes available. Motorists should use extreme caution, especially during the night, as road conditions can change rapidly.

If you encounter an area that requires immediate attention such as roads flooding, washed out or frozen culverts or significant road damage that impedes travel or has a significant risk to safety and property, please contact the Public Works 24-hour Emergency Line at 780-532-7393.
