With the new two-week restrictions put in place by the province in Grande Prairie due to rising COVID-19 cases, IMPACT Grande Prairie has decided to postpone the Take Back the Night March. 

The march was scheduled for today (Nov. 13) at 4 p.m. starting at Revolution Place. It’s intended to raise awareness and bring attention to Family Violence Prevention in our Community. 

IMPACT Grande Prairie says they are looking at other options and are hoping to reschedule at a later date.  

They share, “Thank you for your understanding and your support during these strange and challenging times.” 

November is Family Violence Prevention Month. Alberta has the third highest rate of self-reported spousal violence among Canadian provinces even though family violence is preventable.
