On Sunday, the Grande Prairie Alliance Church is holding their 12th annual Father’s Day Car Show, but it’s being done a bit different this year.

Spectators will be able to view the car parade along an 8km route running from GPAC, to the south end of Grande Prairie.

Pastor Rod Willems from Grande Prairie Alliance Church says, “Last year we had 173 vehicles that entered the parade, and so we’ve had great support”.

People are invited to come out and view the parade anywhere along the route.

Willems says, “Bring a lawn chair, bring your families, we are actually able to gather in socially distanced groups right now. However, Alberta Health has asked us not to have anybody come to view the vehicles at the church parking lot”.

Organizers anticipate the cars to start leaving the church at around 2:30pm. For those interested in being a part of the show, registrations will be open right up until Sunday. If you want to participate in the car parade itself, you can pre-register online at www.gpalliance.ca.
