Grande Prairie Regional Sport Connection is going to be hosting an online version of their Try-It Day on Saturday June 6 to give youth ages 6-17 a chance to discover new sports while practicing social distancing.

They say, "There is no registration, no schedule and you can attend as many activities as you’d like, at anytime during the day. Pause, rewind and Try-It again from the comfort of your own home. Lessons are geared for beginners ages 6 -17 but, we aren’t stopping the adults from giving it a try as well!"

Videos and a menu of more than 10 different regional sport organizations will be available on their website from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.on June 6. Each lesson will have a recommended participation age.

GP Regional Sport Connection encourages parents and guardians to post a picture of their children participating and post onto their Facebook page for a chance to win either $100 toward registration in any upcoming sport or recreation program or $250 family pack of sport equipment. Photos must be submitted by 4pm on the day of the event to qualify.
