The Friends of Sturgeon Lake Society Annual General Meeting is being held today (Monday, Jan. 15) starting at 4 p.m. in the DeBolt Community Hall.

All Sturgeon lake users – those on, around or users of the lake – are invited to attend.

Annual memberships ($30 person or $50 couple) will be sold at the door.

“The Society was created to work on areas for betterment of the lake,” said organizer Dan Gorman.

Presenting at the meeting will be Alberta Lake Management Society and Mighty Peace  Watershed Association spokespeople.

Board members will be introduced and a new board elected at the meeting.

“There will be discussions on different concerns and ideas for Sturgeon – like lake health, levels and water quality,” said Gorman.
