Starting on February 1st, the South Peace Regional Archives will be moving from the Grande Prairie Museum to its new home at Centre 2000. During the move, the Archives will be closed to the public.

Since its formation in 2000, the South Peace Regional Archives has operated out of the Grande Prairie Museum. This move to a larger facility will allow them to be more accessible and increase the services that they offer.

The move is being funded through the federal and provincial governments, with the City of Grande Prairie, the County of Grande Prairie, and the M.D of Greenview.

To facilitate the safe relocation of the collection, the Archives will be closed to the public from February 1 to May 1, 2024.

During this time, the archival collection will be packed and not accessible.

They will not be able to accept archival donations, host researchers, complete research requests, or fulfill photograph reproduction orders during this time.
