A frontal system moving across northern BC will give the first snow of the season to the BC Peace River region including B.C. North Peace River, B.C. South Peace River, and Highway 97 - Pine Pass.

Snow will continue throughout the region until tomorrow morning, bringing 5 to 10 cm to most areas, with up to 20 cm near the Rockies in the communities of Hudson Hope, Chetwynd, and Tumbler Ridge. Snow may become mixed at times with rain, although near the Rockies, precipitation is expected to remain as snow.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
