  • B.C. South Peace River

Snow for B.C. Peace River, mainly near the Rockies.

Total Snow Accumulations: 15 to 20 cm.

A weather system approaching from the Pacific will give heavier snow starting late this afternoon. Snow will gradually ease off Tuesday afternoon. The highest snow accumulations are expected near the Rockies. For places like Hudson Hope, Chetwynd, and Tumbler Ridge, a total of 15 to 20 cm of snow will accumulate by Tuesday evening. For Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, a total of 10 cm of snow will accumulate by Tuesday evening.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
