County crews dedicated to snow removal in residential areas are preparing to begin snow removal in Clairmont between 100 and 113 Avenue on Wednesday.

After snow removal in that area is complete, crews will move onto the subdivisions of Westlake Estates and Whispering Ridge followed by Wedgewood, Maple Ridge and Taylor Estates.

Temporary parking restrictions have been activated in Clairmont from 100 to 113 Avenue this morning. During heavy snowfall, temporary parking restrictions are put in place 24 hours in advance, when possible, and “No Parking signage will be posted at entrances to the area. When “No Parking” signs are visible, parking on roadways and streets will not be permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Vehicles left on the street when a parking restriction is in place may be ticketed and/or towed. Residents are reminded to not pile or push snow from their driveways or property onto the roads as it slows the snow clearing process and creates a traffic safety hazard.

People can stay up-to-date on temporary parking restrictions at www.countygp.ab.ca/parkingban, as well as by following the County’s social media channels. More information on the County’s snow removal process is available at www.countygp.ab.ca/snowremoval.
