The Town of Sexsmith will be compiling a list of those structures that have been impacted by the 2020 spring flooding to include as information for a disaster recovery application to the Province of Alberta.

The Town is asking those who have incurred damages to the interior of their home, building or structure please forward your name, address, contact information and a brief description of the damage to fcss@sexsmith.ca for inclusion in the town's application to the province

If Sexsmith becomes eligible for the Disaster Recovery Program funding residents may be contacted by a case manager from Alberta.

The application deadline is within 30 days, so residents are asked to submit as soon as possible.

Starting today (Apr.27) Public Works will be placing pallets and large garbage bins in the neighborhoods that have been hit by flooding. These will be out for a couple of weeks. The pallets are intended to have sand bags placed on them. The garbage bins are only for poly, which is recyclable.

If you have any questions, you can call the Town office at 780-568-3681.
